Artist's Description

This oil painting is a fantasy waterfall was inspired by camp trips throughout Colorado. I could feel the mist in the air, hear the rushing water and experience the tranquility as I painted this scene. Blue is a healing color and invites serenity and quiet reflection. The original oil paintings is large enough that you can truly get lost by just gazing at the water fall and allow your imagination to let you be sitting in front of a campfire taking in the spectacular beauty of nature in its nighttime splendor.

P.S. Cute Footnote: My 10 year old grandson invited me to his class as a guest speaker and to give the third graders an art lesson. He introduced me as Grandma Mikki so that is what all the kids called me. At the end of the session, all the kids surrounded me and said; “Grandma Mikki don’t you know that trees are green? I explained they looked blue in moonlight and they said; “No Way, trees are always green!” I really messed up in their eyes!
