This 18” X 24” oil painting was inspired one of the many snorkeling trips we take in the Caribbean. My husband and I had the rare privilege of swimming with the giant turtles. I love to swim and snorkel to the point of obsessive compulsive. I can do it for hours until my skin is so shriveled I resemble the turtles. I allowed my imagination to go wild in this composition. My husband teases me constantly about his not realizing he married a mermaid, so I made our fun fantasy a visual reality. I had a lot of fun with this painting.
