dang… so sorry to hear this :((!!! it’s hard to start all over, especially if there’s not the funding to do so… hope things pick up for you, who knows, maybe your laptop will get found… we had a break in when i was about 5, and 2 yrs afterwards, our cable company had a $250 check for my parents when someone turned in our stolen cable box… i’m going to try and help, but it won’t be until january/february (maybe i can squeeze it in earlier)… take care!

yeah agree with rev – our worst nightmare as artists. on a positive note you’ve inspired a shight load of us to back up our work. ive been slack but going home tonight to do so!

Have you had someone look at your Time Machine backup? Because they can be a bit tricky to extract if something’s gone wrong, but sometimes the files are still there.

Also, on a rather sad note, you don’t upload vectors to RB, so you’re out of luck there.

yeah i know. It’d be cool if redbubble had an “archieve” where you could dump master files (aka vector). But i guess its kinda not their role.

But ahhh well just means i have to make a whole new lot of hilarity for cotton. It’s also a godd excuse to jump on a plane and go to mexico.

Cant the police track the PC’s number when it gets used online? like each pc has a unique ID when used online that cant be changed, just a thought, anyways hope all goes well, have a happy new year! =]

Ugh! I’m sad to say I can sympathize with you: I’m a rock musician who has had the theft of TWO keyboards that held original music in MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) data files. The boards cost $1000 each but the loss of the pieces of music: priceless. >:-(

But thank The Lord for Red Bubble. Even if the originals are lost as data, the images remain to be either fondly remembered, recreated in times of completely mental block, or used to lure people like me to you and your amazing talent. Just think: unless I had read these words (after being so jazzed about seeing a freakin ladybug with a rocket strapped to her butt!), I’d never have known the original computer programming was lost, right? And if I was anything other than ‘the most broke artist in my apartment’, I’d have bought things that still had their intellectual property rights right where they belong: in your head.

Feeling better? Neither am I but I’ll think up a rant about it and vent in a journal soon so watch out for the other shoe to drop. In the meantime, please keep my GL jones quenched, OK? (sniff!) Love ya, man!!!

PS I’m a PC guy, even after being corned by Vista. But now I can also feel the Agony Of McFailure. Remember when backing up your files meant making a photocopy?

Sucks about the music dude. I am a musso as well so i feel your pain. Bastards stole your keyboards. The sad thing is they will never know or care what they stole. But songs live on in your head. I am putting more time into music now, you can check it out at :

Its was kinda of a “kick in the butt” lesson that nothing is permanent. I mainly draw on paper atm. Slowly getting back to T’s and stuff.
