@Gompo: it was the Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 AF D. I shoot a lot of Nikon’s big aperture lenses and just had a show here in Tokyo called ‘Wide Open: Tokyo at Maximum Aperture’, feturing stiff shot on the 85mm, the 50mm f/1.2 and one or two other lenses.
