Frantic Inertia

fiercely lethargic
passively restless
mixing
mighty black yin
with powerful white yang
for fog-bound soft grey

direction circular
forming spiraling vacuum
spinning faster
and faster
till dizziness prevails
and I’m flung to the ground

recovery time passes
now … where to move?
decision
decisions
erupting from the mind
stack up upon each other
till towering, they topple

leaving ruins of nothing
ghostlike and vast
perfect for my spirit
to stumble and explore

creating its own maze
of frantic
inertia

Frantic Inertia by

After writing this I realised there WAS something I could do with all that twisting turning energy … the sun was out, the tide was in … so I went for a swim in the creek near my home. And afterwards … I spent the day contentedly floaty … in a mood polar opposite to the one I had been in. Oh (warm) water how I love thee.

Excellent, we all live in a frantic state of inertia sometimes, you’ve captured this really well, it’s great!
