A piece of Japanese machinery from WWII was completely absorbed by the root-like trunk of this banyan tree on the slopes of Dolen Lenger, Lenger Island, Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. Only the wheel of the machine remains on the outside of the tree with two roots passing through it.
