This jetty lays on my favourite little beach cove back home on the Mornington Peninsula. I captured this photo at 6 am while not a sole was in sight and was lucky enough to have done so just as as small cloud break revealed a beautiful orange tinge in the distance. It was definitely worth getting out of bed at 5.30 on a Saturday morning to capture this one.

I find it impossible to unravel myself from capturing the beauty of our surrounds and by doing so I look beyond the naked eye, into a world many times missed by passing strangers.

love that beach
This is fantastic Matt, love the subtle hues and the movement of the water. That band of orange light definitely makes the image and I love the reflection from the pier on the right hand side, really lovely work! :o)
thanks simone. i know what you mean about the orange. i was just lucky enough to get a few snaps as the clouds broke up for a few seconds. The photo’s i took after without the cloud break were awful.
Great take Matt
The sort of thing you always want to get on the shore
