Thankyou ever so much Maureen, I was so happy with these flowers, had never seen them before, Im not even sure of the name, but thought they were so pretty

I think they are called cone flowers they also come in purple. I think they get the cone from the middle of the flower.

Alex, these look a lot like my coneflowers … also called echinacea … on mine, the petals are a rich pink or a purple. Check out: Fritillary Friend to see if you think it’s the same. By the way, these particular flowers really attract the butterflies!!! I love your image of them … the light is fabulous!!!

This is such a fantastic image. I love the composition and the lighting was perfect. Congratulations on your feature.
I do think these are in the ConeFlower family. Ive seen them in orange with a brown center where others have purple or pink ones. So who knows…but it doesn’t matter what they are called they are absolutely beautiful. :)

Thankyou so much for your wonderful comment, I have since found out that they are called echinacia – I think thats how you spell it haha.
I have actually bought some seeds for the pink ones and plan on starting my own little garden with them, they also attract butterflies.
and cant wait to plant them =0)
