This is a simple case of “Oh lets see if that is going to work out”. 5 exposures at 2EV difference. HDR Tone Mapping in Photomatix. No Photoshop. I thought the flare might come up nice after processing, but I never imagined it to be like this. I hope you like it.
That’s pretty amazing, but I can’t seem to link it to the comments you made in your description… This looks more like a drawing than a photo… Any clues as to how you achieved this ? Pretty please?
I thought this was a bit of an overdone hdr when I saw it at first, but now that Ive taken a second look at it, its actually nice, especially if the flare is only from the sun and the tonemapping brought it out so strongly. In this case the surreality of the clouds with their shadows in the sky looks cool. I usually dont like dark HDRs, but the colours in this one came out enough to balance the black.
