Staircases in cities fascinate me. Where are they going? What is at the top? People walk differently up and down. The effort and ascending and the care of descending.

This staircase is in the area of Sacre Coeur in the Montmartre district of Paris.

There are so many ways of processing monochrome images. This is on the one I like tonight – I will keep working on it and see if like the next version.

Do you know how many times I’ve climbed that staircase lol ~ what a great image.

  • Thanks. I look at that staircase and dream about returning to Paris. I cannot express how much I love walking around Paris. Working on my photographs takes me a straight back. Merci.

  • Do you remember the name of this staircase – I cannot find it in my notes of that trip.

No ~ which is not good as I climb it everytime I am in Paris. I am going there this week so will let you know. I’m in love with paris ~ it makes me feel like remembering something I did not know that I knew, like it has been waiting for me.

    stunning,

  • You pop up everywhere! Keep it up – you are good for my ego. Thanks for the compliment. May I say immodestly, I rather like this image. Everything came together, however when photographed I was walking to meet my cousins and just had to stop to get a series of images. I am most pleased about the processing.
