Star trails looking as a straight line appear at the Celestial Equator which divides Southern (outside the frame at the upper left) and Northern (bottom right) Celestial Poles.

    Amazing, Alex! Star trails favoring both celestial poles! Even without the radio scopes, this would be a winner. Of course, they make it even more captivating!

    Great shot. I thought the straightening and curving back of the lines was lens distortion or something until I read you description. Very informative.
