Alex Cassels

First signs of an artistic calling appeared on family holidays to the north Norfolk coast in England in the early 1970s; this took off photographically when I sold my first picture of the little fishing port of Port de la Selva in Spain to a family-owned travel company called Catalan Villas in 1984. Following this I studied Photography, Film and Television at Plymouth College of Art and Design which introduced me to the wonderful world of animation.

My love for the natural world was shaped by the stunning and dramatic scenery while traveling on a gap year in Australia and New Zealand.

In recent years commissioned work for hotels and travel brochures in Cyprus, Turkey and Egypt has enabled me to produce more personal work in the United States.
