Let my love melt away, to that place in my heart, where I’ll treasure and I’ll keep it forever

Stand still, be sweet and forgiving
May I leave all the pain behind
Let me think of you now,
and remember somehow
As the river of impermanence flows

They say the dead sleep
and that their rest is deep
And I hope I find peace,
while the living will weep

Stand still, and let my dreams wander
Life wears an impertinent smile
Just like hands on my face,
this ice cold embrace
It’s the water absorbing my soul

Stand still, there’s so much to remember
No matter how fleeting it all may seem
And I’ll welcome the peace,
with its final release
And let my eyes close forever
