This is the first of the ‘Legend of L’Inconnue’ paintings. The songs lyrics and musical score make up the drops of rain and the swirls and churns of water.

The Prologue by Mulberry Hawk

And thus our tale begins as dark and sinister a tragedy as only life can be
An everyday story that would inevitably end in death
A lonely pointless final act of a lonely pointless life
Yet just as decay leads to rebirth hope is the harvest of despair
And brings meaning to our lives indeed hope can save a million lives
Let us begin at the beginning, at the source la Seine.

Oh the folly of flowing madly, wildly dancing on the scree,
Where water nymphs and sirens meet to watch
The joy the light delights in as it coils its fleeting shadows for me to see;
And earthly magic stirs the air
Whirls, churns the swirling fury that swells the waters until it seems
That rivulets and trickles merge to form a river from a stream.
Oh the folly of flowing madly, wildly dancing on the scree,
The joy the light delights in as it coils its fleeting shadows for me to see;
Whirling, churning,swirling fury that swells the waters until it seems
That rivulets and trickles merge to form a river from a stream.
See the dormant seeds aroused as willows weep their tales of woe,
Of frantic struggles to survive, of desperate desires to grow;
Where swarms perform a tarantella to the strains of a living breathing drone
And dragonflies adorn the sky, a glint of steel with diamond encrusted silver wings
That Echoe the sunlight in her eyes as the mighty river winds its way towards the unknown
Mesdames et messieur, L’Inconnue
See the dormant seeds aroused as willows weep their tales of woe,
Of frantic struggles to survive, of desperate desires to grow;
And dragonflies adorn the sky, a glint of steel on silver wings
reflect the sunlight in her eyes as Seine flows on to L’Inconnue, L’Inconnue, L’Inconnue
