OK, I’m caught up again… :) Seems we a so much in common. I grew up on the coast, ocean front in fact and now I’m in the mountains. I love both so much!
I love the suspense and mystery of this beginning.
I grew up in a forest town, lived most of my adult life by the sea until now, probably will go back to the sea when I’m too old for the mountain slopes :)
Hope you enjoy ‘Mundoo’.
Awe, look at that, my original comment. So you’re hiding them and then bringing them back. I’m glad.
You’re reading even though you’ve already read it once! How nice ….. thank you. If there are any comments you’d like deleted, let me know, okay?
Noooo don’t delete anything!!! And of course I’m reading it again! You’re re-writing it so I’m re-reading it.
Alenak, WONDERFUL beginning…looking forward to more! Cheers, Lisa =) XO
Believe it or not, I spent all day yesterday, reading 58 chapters of Mundoo. Minus the time allotted for eating and sleeping. Lovely write, ever thought of publishing your work?
That’s so encouraging …… thank you, for reading and for letting me know :)
I’ve been submitting to publishers for eight years now, rejections taped to my wall until we moved here where the walls don’t lend themselves to that. In the past months I’ve rewritten the stories as I post chapters here and currently Hachette Livre is looking at sample chapters of ‘inbetween’ which is nice but doesn’t mean they’ll accept it.
So it’s lovely to get a reader telling me she’s read the whole story :)
I am looking forward to some reading over Easter. I will have 10 straight days off work :o))
Well, that’s put a smile on my face :)) I’m curious to know what you think of this one, Sharon. It’s still my favourite, in spite of the many rewrites and rereads …. I really like the company of these characters and look forward to writing the next in the series, if I ever finish ‘Shattering of Glass’ and ‘The Godkeeper’ ….
I’ve been reading a few chapters, to remind myself what it’s like, and I see that the new RB format has changed the way I set out the chapters, making huge gaps between sections, the gaps big enough to make the reader think they’ve come to the end of that chapter. If you keep going all the way to the end of the page, to the link for the next chapter, it should still work.
Great start! I’m in…. :)
It’s a lovely buzz for me, thank you :)
I do prefer a book in my hand though Alenka :)
I do, too. It would be nice to have my novels in paper form but I don’t want to self publish or use the vanity publishing companies. Don’t want to go around promoting and marketing and trying to sell the books myself.
Oh that is a terrible shame Alenka….I would love to buy your books x
