forces bigger and stronger by

Lower down the slope of the forest in which we live. Trees die naturally, too …. the wind knocked these three down, sometimes a big tree falling takes little trees down with it. Maybe we’re just part of nature, playing our role …… I don’t know, only that these are forces far bigger, stronger than this little human who’s trying to work out her place in all this. What I do know after six years of living here, with occasional day trips to Hobart, is that I’m much happier here than in the city. And I wonder if the world would be a happier place if lives were more simply lived. These days I go to the city and, apart from my favourite book-store, it has nothing I want.

You are a woman of kind…a woman of nature and elements. One who sees into mists and light…one who delights in what has given her life and opportunity.

I saw a picture of Hobart the other day. Lots of red roofs.

  • What an impossibly beautiful description for this little human to try to live up to ….. what I’d like to be and see is, sadly, not who I am, but thank you, Ken, for seeing that in the image :)

Hobart is picturesque ……. I loved it when we first came here six years ago, wanted to live right in the middle of the city. I don’t know what’s changed since then, the city or me.

Big changes and little are a constant now, Alenka…Every damn thing changes…some for the better…some not. But we stand as witnesses to it.
“All is well, all is well…..”, Love that you live in the forest; my papa lived there once, as a boy.
And it marked him..He said he found that he couldn’t ever be of the city. You know exactly what he meant, I feel.
Love this shot of you in your element.
    Peace,

  • That’s the nature of the universe, of us, isn’t it, Sass? Your words are a good reminder of that ….. thank you. Suffering, a wise one said, is caused by our wanting things to be other than they are.

Yes, I think the forest is marking me, too …… I think I know what you papa meant ….. I dread the day we have to live in a town again. I’ll have to keep your words about change in mind then :)
