I finally managed to replace the old kit lens with a brand new Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L. The image quality that this lens is capable of capturing is astonishing and after few test shots I decided to convince my beautiful wife to pose for me.

I quickly set up my strobes and umbrellas, put a blue gel on the one illuminating the background, and the magic happened.
After few test shots and adjusting the lights and camera I was in shock when I previewed the photo on the LCD screen. The portrait turned out great: the light was perfect, the background, the sharpness, the model and the dress- it all came together.
Needless to say this is my favorite lens!
