I try to carry the camera with me during the morning and the evening walks to be ready for the beautiful light and this weekend I managed to get this shot.
Some ducks were spending the winter in the area around my house, they have a creek to swim in and extensive grazing areas to feed. My dog loves them, he doesn’t chase them but as a good pointer he simply shows me where they are… this time he found one that was getting ready to spend the night on a brach over the creek, last rays of the setting sun filtered through the foliage and I got down on my knees, crawled closed the the duck, positioned my self and started shooting… Tiamat, my dog, was quietly doing the same next to me.
