Photography is the career that never was for me. I decided to go into teaching as a career instead but kept photography as an avid hobby since 1973. Now I am retired after 30 years of teaching high school Biology and am throwing myself into photography as a second career. Who says you can’t go back again?
My primary areas of interest includes landscapes, wildlife, nature, macrophotography , and pet portraits. I am currently using a Nikon D5000 with assorted lenses. It takes beautiful pictures with a little coaxing and is a great all around camera. Thank goodness the old darkroom days with jugs of smelly chemicals and enlargers is past! I am embracing the digital age with a passion.
My main goal is to show the beauty locked inside that which we take for granted.
