In the world of fine art, working as an artist I have learned to understand the applications and relevant techniques in
- oils
- soft pastel
- oil pastel
- mixed medium
- graphite, charcoal, sanguine
- acrylics & gouache
- mixed medium
- clays in sculpting busts
- wood, ivory, corals & semi precious stones in carving
I was highly successful overall, enough to own my own gallery and school my children privately on my art.
Things change and life goes on, I started feeling as though to keep to any one medium would mean that in becoming too comfortable my learning and therefore reaching was deminishing.
I have been quietly working in the background in learning languages that enable me to create a website. That does my head in to a degree but I have finally become sufficiently comfortable to be able to handle the aesthetics and achieve the fluency that gives me the same level of satisfaction I miss in working with traditional mediums.
I FINALLY THINK I’M GETTING THE HANG OF IT!
The last couple of days I worked over colours, layouts, functions, sequences and timing to create the top section of my site. I am very proud of it :) I am self taught and remain so learning through trial and error. There is abit of CSS that needs work but, I’m getting there. YOUR FEEDBACK IS WELCOME

It’s very polished but, I think your rolling images are moving a little too fast, imo. Well done on teaching yourself, I loathed having to create websites as part of my course! I’m looking forward to seeing it when it’s finished.

No, they’re just moving too fast to get a good look at them. Maybe, if it’s possible, you could insert a small pause between each change??? Lol, I love those purple shoes, they look to die for!

Hello, Alateia! I just took a look at your web site ….Fabulous setup by the way , but I do have to agree with rawdiamond it is moving way to fast and on my puter it dose not go all the way across the top either , only goes about half way. Oh and is there anyway to have it stop when you put your arrow on one of the pictures ? That way you can get a much better look at the art if you so wanted to. And by the way Amazing art you have on there!
My boyfriend is a webmaster and I have watched him building sites and I don’t understand any of it …lol lol lol It all looks like jibberish to me! Wish you all the best in your new medium!!

thanks for your feedback Carla, yes you can halt on any image you like by clicking on it. There is a +sign in the centre of each image for viewing larger. there is also the word link bottom right of the halted enlarged image that will take you to the shop where you can purchase fully customised products.
ok so to the speed of the slideshow, i have slowed it down again, please take a peek tell me if you think that is an improvement….

okay I am using Internet explorer and it stll is not showing anything at all at the top …And I also have firefox so I tried with that one as well and I can now see the picture slide at top and it is going across top of site page, but it is not moving at all it is showing 3 and 1/4 pictures .Your very welcome its no problem at all…Hope this helps you out some . I will take another look again later this afternoon
