Finer feathered Friends: Red Knobbed Hornbill
This is Calliope, a new arrival here in New York’s Bronx Zoo. We seemed to hit it off (at least to me based on her body language and how she bat her eyefeathers at me) Of course, the connection for me comes from the karma of her name; Calliope was the ancient Grecian muse of epic poetry. (sigh)
Did this one fast this morning (45 minutes start to finsh) as a sort of early morning (creative) workout. 36 layers with 27 various textures. I like to get my creative juices flowing before the day actually starts. Hopefully the next thing I see will be even more beautiful.
