Geoff Holt, quadriplegic sailor doing a last minute interview with a Spanish television interviewer before setting off from Playa Blanca in Lanzarote on his bid to become the first quadriplegic sailor to cross the Atlantic unassisted (11th December 2009).

Geoff was the first quadriplegic sailor to circumnavigate Britain and is a truly inspirational character- I think the drive he has shows in his expression in this photograph. I’m very honoured to be able to call him a friend…
