Lasting Impressions:
The mystery of life has always drawn me to
People & nature.It has so captivated met that I
Feel an inner compulsion to draw my heart out.
There is a bubbling chatter going on in my head which I must capture on canvas in shapes and hues that will draw people, like a magnet to revel in its beauty.
So I draw communing with my soul and letting
my fingers glide in the direction it must go.The themes are not preconceived, but just waiting to be born.

Abrahim . has a gift very rare among painters today. his use of water colours as a medium with remarkable spontaneity and delicacy accompanied by a special sensitivity to light and form, which affirms his love for whatever comes within his view: an old alley in the city, a country orchard, a busy crowd in a down town market, or a woman in a dress whose patterns are part of the final design of his painting.
Ever present in his work in water colours is a sense of space and sunny vastness, which makes us partake of some of the love and wonder that motivate his art, even when he does a miniature the size of the palm of one’s hand or even smaller, which he fills with incredibly fine details.
When Abrahim.. paints in oil or acrylic, he ventures forth not only with the size of his canvas but also with the human context of his work, in which every detail contributes to the creation of a disturbing reflective atmosphere the artists excels in portraying with magic realism. The central figure of a young woman has her sadness, her meditations, echoed in the objects before or around her. This magic realism seems to communicate to the viewer a lovely hallucination which impels one to look again and again at the painting, and each time one looks one gets the sense of a renewed and ever-varied discovery.
