This is the final rendering of my custom design I did for the “Redesigning History” Competition, in which entries must draw inspiration from this amazing 19th century crimson bustle gown.

Entries can be anything from contemporary fashion pieces to jewelry to interior design, they just must reflect design aesthetics from the historical piece.
Of course, I chose to design clothing for my illustration : )

This is a full, high-fashion figure rendered with a blend of prismacolor markers and colored pencil.

I love your creative mind. I thought I was going to be a fashion illustrator at one time as I took art to become one, but when I graduated all those jobs left my city!

Oh no! I’m majoring in fashion design now and graduating soon, so I’m hoping jobs wont be scarce thanks to the economy!
