Taken in Paris, France Feb 24/09 This wasn’t my best shot, which got accidentally deleted…. but I am happy with the angle as it catches most of its best features. Hope you like it.
Thanks Emily. I lost about 108 of my early shots, most of them in this area and the Latin Quarter. I also lost a great shot I had of Charlemagne’s statue which sits in the front courtyard.
iconic. i know the feeling of losing images. i lost a roll of film one trip that broke my heart. you are right about the trees being leafless to get the best shots of the cathedral. well done.
I really appreciate the note of sympathy James. Some of the lost shots were truly awesome too. I was flabbergasted that one miscalculation of the camera’s intentions cost me a half-day’s shooting.
Beautiful capture Al. it really shows the incredible scale and work that went into building this fine old cathedral. Must have been a fun trip.
Thanks Gregory. The whole purpose of the quick, multi-country tour was to see where we might like to revisit at a later date. Paris is certainly at the top of the list with so much beauty and history.

Fantastic looking building.. Would love to go inside here.. at least once..:)
The inside is awfully impressive as is the case in most major churches in Europe.

Thanks Elaine. I did tweak it and warm it up a touch rather than using a filter on the camera.
