A series of very old photographs taken by my great-grandfather and grandfather who founded Souvenir Photo Studio in the early 1900’s, in Radville, Saskatchewan.
My father, mother and brother on the right and an aunt and uncle on the left. By the age of my brother I assume this photo is in early 1940. Dad was always very proud of his great team of horses and his own horsemanship.
These old photos are so great to see. My family on both sides homesteaded in Saskatchewan too so I have seen many photos like this. You probably heard the same or very similar stories from your folks growing up,lol. Walked to school barefoot, uphill, 12 miles in snowdrifts, etc., etc., etc., Great historical photo.
Hey, I’m old enough to have done those things myself, and they are all true!
