The Bells Of Santa Croce

This is the steeple of Santa Croce (Holy Cross) church in Assisi, Italy overlooking a beautiful green valley. This church was built in the 13th Century and is therefore older than our country!!
I could not believe my luck to get such a great vantage point.
Assisi was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and this is one of my favourite photos!

    Love the way you used the trees to frame the off-center steeple, Al. Beautiful warm hues make this such an appealing shot! (Those roof tiles—I have a severe case of architectural envy.)

    Thank you Jan for noticing this. It is not important that the subject always be exactly centred. It is more appealing if the shot can be naturally framed.
