I was hoping this shot would be clear when I took it and was pleased with the result.
TickerGirl
Excellent photo AL, the size of the snowboarder makes the viewer realize the magnitude of the slope.
Al Bourassa replied
This is probably somewhere about the 8,000 foot level of this 10,000 foot mountain…. so there is a LOT more slope to be seen!!
Jan Timmons
Wonderful perspective. Good luck!

Thank you so much Jan. No matter what anyone else thinks, I think it is a winner.

Wow, very cool shot. Good luck with national Geographic. Let me know what happens. When did you go to Switzerland?? Did you win the lottery?? lol :o) This place looks totally amazing. Wow…
Al Bourassa replied
Oh hi Mia! I don’t check this old site too often. I didn’t place in NG but thought this was every bit as good as those chosen. We did a European tour in Feb-March. No lottery win, just saved up for the budget tour and it was worth every penny. Switzerland, especially Lucerne, was the biggest surprise.

Al Bourassa replied
I am so glad this turned out so well, taken from a moving gondola.
