This was Boxing Day and it was a little crisp in the breeze, but not too bad. Thanks.

Well this is just so gorgeous! Love the blues! Those horses don’t look cold at all. God is so good to make animals where they are weather hardy. Nice shot Al, with those gorgeous Rockies in the background.

  • Al Bourassa replied

Thanks Sandy. I purposely took the longer back road on the way home, hoping to get some different shots.

its making me feel cold lookin at it tho =P

  • Al Bourassa replied

Cold is just a state of mind. You just have to dress for the weather and I really wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Looks idyllic, Al – even if a bit nippy! Love the lighting and the horses, of course! ;o)

  • Al Bourassa replied

Maybe I get repetitive, but I don’t think there is anything more peaceful to me than horses in a pasture. I wish I could put one in my back yard and get rid of my lawnmower.

What a perfect scene…..the blue mountains in the background, the line of trees and then the horses at rest in the foreground …with that beautiful morning sunlight. j:)

  • Al Bourassa replied

It was actually evening light with the sun getting close to going over those mountains.

looks cold…but still great colours… and I try and tell my pertner that her hoorse does not need a rug when it drops to 15 degC at night here…need to show her this shot

  • Al Bourassa replied

Many thanks Jim. I think it was about -10C that day, and breezy. I often wonder how these animals cope with those cold snaps below -20C for days on end. Most of them find some shelter and often cluster in groups as well.
