Bickley Valley – Western Australia

The Bickley Valley in the hills of Perth is home to several orchards and fresh food producers for Western Australia. These orchards make a lovely display in spring as they start to burst into bloom.

I live in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is rugged, remote and ancient. I love to capture moments that we may easily miss or pass by. I need to slow down, live life, notice the little things and breathe….. rather than rush to my next meeting through the artificial world. Beauty is all around us, the more you look, the more you see…
Unless stated, my images are straight from the camera with minimal processing.

That is lovely, the grass looks just like a strip of carpet

  • Thanks Mik! Haha – you’re right, it does! It was lovely and soft from lots of rain this winter.

What a lovely place and image!

  • Thanks Betty, I caught the bloom early this year but later on the petals form a carpet on the ground.

This is a beautiful sight to behold

  • Thanks Helen – it IS great if you don’t suffer hay fever. I was a little early this year but it was quite a cold start to spring for these blooms.

You must have been there a little later than me, as your photo shows more blossom than mine. Great point of view.
