A collection of vintage tobacco tins used in Australia.
It reminds me of days gone by when biscuits, tobacco and sweets came in tins, milk and soft drink was in bottles – in a time before plastic ruled the world.

Editing: sepia filter | no texture added, these are just old tins |

I live in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is rugged, remote and ancient. I love to capture moments that we may easily miss or pass by. I need to slow down, live life, notice the little things and breathe….. rather than rush to my next meeting through the artificial world. Beauty is all around us, the more you look, the more you see…
Unless stated, my images are straight from the camera with minimal processing.

I love this. When my pa was alive he used to smoke Havelock Fine Cut tobacco. The tin was lovely. There would a little littering of strands of tobacco left at his feet after he rolled one.
    I love old Australian tins.
This is a really sweet image.

  • I’m glad this gave you fond memories of your pa. I know what you mean, those little ‘hairs’ of tobacco that were soft were always left behind. Although these tins have different colours, I just had to make this sepia to capture the vintage look. So glad you like it, thanks for the fave. ;-)
