Stirk Park – Kalamunda – Western Australia In 1881, Frederick and Elizabeth Stirk settled on a ten acre property and built a modest colonial style cottage from locally obtained materials. Stirk Cottage is now surrounded by parkland and named Stirk Park in honour of the founding family.
I love the ornamental trees and gardens in Stirk Park as they are offer a variety of changing colours during autumn and winter, which contrast with our native eucalypts. There is also a gentle creek running through to a pond. Stirk Park also features a Memorial Walk with trees and plaques to commemorate the fallen from World War I and II who are on the Kalamunda Roll of Honour.
A lovely calm winter’s day, perfectly captured – love the pristine reflections :-)

Looks a beautiful spot, well taken.
Thanks Colin, it changes with every season which is lovely to see. I do love our native flora but my Yorkshire blood loves to see the autumn leaves!
