Abandoned Coogee (South Fremantle) Power Station Heritage Listed Art Deco Building 1951-

Here is some captivating artistry that many will not see as it is tucked away inside the derelict Power Station on the Indian Ocean in Western Australia. The colours are vivid and attention to detail excellent. It is quite surreal to find these pieces screaming out from the walls while the wind whistles through the open space and the ocean crashes just outside.

I was inspired to visit and see the place after seeing this shot by Red Bubbler HennaGoddess – thanks for the inspiration Helen!!

About Akrotiri

I live in Western Australia and love to capture moments that we may easily miss or pass by. I need to slow down, live life, notice the little things and breathe….. rather than rush to my next meeting through the artificial world. Beauty is all around us, we’re usually so busy we forget to look… But the more you look, the more you see…
Unless stated, my images are straight from the camera with minimal processing.
