My mechanic thinks I’m crazy, or at best kooky.
I was waiting for him to finish the car and noticed this skip bin that was there to collect old car parts and scrap metal. I loved it, it is gorgeous, surreal. He thinks I’m mad.
Sometimes beauty is random. It is there under our noses – a select view, a small glimpse, a different look. The beauty of a skip bin, image that.

editing: straight from camera, (very proud of that)

About Akrotiri

I live in Western Australia and love to capture moments that we may easily miss or pass by. I need to slow down, live life, notice the little things and breathe….. rather than rush to my next meeting through the artificial world. Beauty is all around us, we’re usually so busy we forget to look… But the more you look, the more you see…
Unless stated, my images are straight from the camera with minimal processing.

I like this. Appealing (no pun) in a cute way. I think we benefit by noticing the small things in life, or at least paying attention.

  • Thanks Jan – I agree. I love to find and notice things, this one really made my day.

    yes, nice abstract!
I understand what you say, sometime is the same thing for me.
like people in the road that look at you as a crazy man, while you are shooting at a wall or a rusty machine.
    just smile and go on!

  • Ciao fabio – si, abssolutamente!! Molto grazie! :))

Nice! I like it! Love the diagonal line and how it breaks the photo up! Great job!

  • Thanks Charlotte, yes it’s such a great shape isn’t it, I think that’s what captured me first when I saw it. There is a lot to this one.
