Tonight
rejected rainbows
pretend
to live in
sullen shadows of
abandonment

A masquerade of
criminal children
disposing of themselves
in their
unequipped
fashion

the only way
they know

Tomorrow
zombie zealots
collapse
and hide from
scalding sunlight in
remorse

A masquerade of
broken souls
disposing of themselves
to seal their
fate
as ghosts

the only way
they cry

Warehouse Blues

There’s a world that, for the most part, remains hidden. Well, maybe not hidden so much as ignored or simply overlooked. Perhaps misunderstood. After exposure to this underworld, I’ve found it impossible to ignore.
