Enjoying The Breeze by Akkra

This drawing is by no means recent! I did this way back when I was about 15 years old for my high school art exhibition. Although I can see all the ‘youthful imperfections’ it was the only drawing from my exhibition that I couldn’t bear to part with.

That’s pretty good for a 15 year old. I like the detail in the curtain the most and nice work on the dog’s reflection. I’ve always envied people that can draw like this. Nice.

  • Hi Adam. Aw thank you for saying such nice things! I do like this drawing, but even now I can sit here and think “that lines not straight…that curves not curvy” lol…I’m not easily pleased am I? :o) Thanks very much for your encouraging comment my mate.

Have I not already marked this once?

  • LOL you have indeed Ken… I’m impressed that you remember it, hope that’s a good sign! :o) Thanks for looking Ken, I’m mighty chuffed.

Oh wow – isn’t it fun looking back!?! You definitely have that feeling of breeziness in this – dogs love that stuff! This is great! xx

  • Aah yes, memories. I remember thinking it would be nice to be the dog with the wind in my face, but I’d probably just end up with a face full of dead bugs lol! Thanks very much for the compliment maxy! xx

This is wonderful. Most of my drawings on here are older,From my high School age.Shooting Stars was done for a class project, and was in an Exhibition.I got it back of course.I was 17 when I painted it.

  • Thanks very much! It’s great to look back on the stuff you did all those years ago. You can’t help but get nostalgic about what your work was like back then and how it’s changed since. Thanks for looking ;o)

I think this is lovely.Especially for 15.The only thing I would say is that maybe the dog could be a bit more defined as the focal point.:-)

  • Thanks very much Sticky, you’re very kind! I agree with you about the dog… I remember that at the time I was so obsessed with getting the window right that the poor dog didn’t get as much TLC. Thanks for looking :o)
