Into the Darkness

Into the Darkness

This is an old shot dating from more than 3 years ago but I found it was worth sharing it.
I was really hesitating about whether I should redo its post processing or keep it as is but finally I’ve decided not to change it so here it is the way I’ve post-processed it in 2005.
At the time “Into the darkness” was a shot I was really proud of and it is still holding its value to my eyes today.

Taken with Canon 10D, Tokina 19-35mm @ 19mm f/16 ISO 100 at a 3.2 seconds exposure.

Great shot. Spot on long time exposure with perfect color and tonality. No wonder you’re proud of it even after 3 years.. :-) Thanks for sharing with the Art of the Middle East group.

Love the overall dark broodiness of this image as the strong reds in the sky seem to not have an effect on the raging blue waters below before they ease up and just lap nicely around those rocks.

This is very very beautiful. It could be on another planet.
