WOW Sharon, that is a really awesome image of the terminus … so you went down into the park and walked the area … that is so cool … we’ve been here since January of 1978 and I hate to admit that we have not gone down into the park area < frowning big time. > The size of these glaciers are truly amazing and such a wonder to behold!! It is an active glacier which means it does both, it advances from the amount of snowfall but also recedes as it melts at the terminus (thing is it is probably receding more than it is advancing).
