Hi John, WOW…your words are very humbling to us!! What can I say, but THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! Eagles are our passion, no matter how many we see or how often we see them, each sighting is just as exhilarating as the last. I took this shot (I think) in 2007, it is actually a close-up shot that goes along with the (kazillion shots I took that day) shot titled ‘Amongst Friends’ which is one of the first photos that we uploaded here on Redbubble. (I had my husband do the arranging and posing while I took the photo :-)...uh huh) I have to say that the Eagles were very cooperative that day, there were about five or six of them that sat perched on this huge hunk of driftwood for quite a while, allowing for many nice photo ops. Hi Jan, Yes…these are some of Jean Keene’s Eagles (we know the Eagles did not actually belong to her…BUT…there is no doubt in anyone’s mind who was lucky enough to witness Jean with these Eagles, that they were in fact her Eagles). We were lucky enough to meet Jean about 25 + or – years ago, and since then we have tried to go to Homer to see her and photograph her Eagles at least once a year. We weren’t able to make it down to her memorial (if only it had been scheduled for next weekend we would have been able to go, at least we were able to see and visit with Jean just before she passed away as we were in Homer the 6th thru the 8th of this month).
