the boss by agnès trachet

I tried to convey the effervescence of the work at the office and the height of the boss against the employee..

This piece is very very strong. The colours remind me “Opera Scene” but the strokes are different. As if there was not only effervescence but also misunderstanding and anger. Is the boss, the one on the left? Because you pictured his height, like Pharaoh above his subjects. And I see an alien head too.

  • thanks a lot for this beautiful comment!yes the boss is on the left and he looks angry..he rules and puts down the poor secretary working on the computer..

Aaahhhhh….this one rocks…..reminds me of when I was a young, skinny thing, starting out in the working world and all the bosses were middle aged men. Though I was fairly tall for a woman, I felt so small, both physically, and in the sense of knowing nothing and being powerless.

  • it was what I wanted to convey…thanks a lot for feeling it!
