Shipping costs by aka-photography

We won a $20 in a competition so we decided to get a couple of prints but the shipping costs from the US are quite horrendous! I think this must put a lot of people off buying prints from other countries.

My question is; why can’t Redbubble have someone that can print & distribute here (or other places in Europe, the World) surely this would keep shipping costs to a minimum and be much greener.

How much was the shipping charge?

Is that a lot?… it costs me $19.95AUS to get stuff here in Australia… that seems reasonable.

Compared to what we ordered, yes! So it would be more environmentally friendly & less shipping costs if each country could print & distribute their own, don’t you think? Or can only the US do good printing! + it takes 15 days to get here!

I certainly wouldn’t be buying a single item for that sort of shipping cost. A card for example or even a single t-shirt… or even a single sticker.

I am not sure where RB prints stuff now… I think that different things are made in different countries.

Did you win a $20 RB Voucher for a competition? If so, you should have a year before it expires, and you can add it to other vouchers.

I have purchased many things from RB and they do have a printing house here in the US. I’m confused on your cost but maybe you purched framed art, which I have never purchased from them. It should be all based upon weight and where you live? but maybe they are taking a profit off the shipping tooHmmm now you have me thinking , yes indeed

No it was just a matte print, we live in the UK that’s probably why..
