Seagle Eye

Seagle Eye

Gibraltar, top of the rock. This guy did not flinch an inch when I stuck my lens in his face.

The title comes from the somewhat whimsical idea that these creatures were once referred to as “sea eagles”...

  • Sally Green

great shot!!! can you edit the name of the photo to say ‘SEAGULL’ eye? as you spelt it wrong. x

  • AJM Photography

    AJM Photography

Hi Sally! Spelt it wrong? Hm, that was supposed to be a twist of “eagle eye”. And is not “seagull” perhaps a derivation of “sea eagle”?

OK, the jury’s out on the title, but I’m happy you liked the photo.

  • Sally Green

    Sally Green

Very beautiful! But also scary…I think I feel a dinosaur creeping up behind me.

  • AJM Photography replied

You think THIS is scary? You should see the version where I pair the original with a copy flipped 180 degrees – two scary eyes and a downturned “mouth”!

It is lovely but disturbing as well it makes you feel as though there is a lot behind that eye but with a seagull I suspect there is very little. great work, love it.

If there is a group called IMPOSSIBLE CAPTURE this would win first place.. the texture and color around the eye is absolutely spell binding.. not to mention the overall balance… a macro of A BIRD in the WILD.. WOW (though in Florida all you have to do is think about food on the beach and you get covered by them LOL).. congrats on your feature!!!
