Parked in the middle of, what I felt to be nowhere, put me in a place of feeling that we were alone. The only noises were of birds and the heat scorching the top of the jeep.
All it took was a rustle of the bushes and then a stampede of baboons that were in a hurry. It was as shocking as it was fleeting… the camera was swiftly spun and the trigger finger shot away.
The result of my heart pounding, the jeep being surrounded by angry and protective mothers turned into a totally chaotic surrounds. The bushes were broken, torn apart and in some places completely squashed.
The entourage of baboons left a trail of devastation behind… amidst the stampeded I caught this one shot.
