A moment? What is it,
A feeling, a particle of time?
So delicate, intricate, fleeting,
We live the past always.
Ethereal, without substance.
A waif of smoke from burning ambers,
A falling star without shine,
A baby stillborn in the night.
A string of seconds maybe a thought.
Connected, a memory created
Legions linked an image formed.
Mind to vision, beginning to end.
Pathways; time, future absent
Silent, solitude, no destination
No footprints to mark a moment
But moments collected to mark the space.
Moments so important, the first step
To the end in thoughtless gesture
Mystery revealing, insight divine, existence born
