One of the bird nest fungi. Sphaerobolus stellatus or cannon ball fungi. The tiny spore in the middle are flung out by a membrane under-neath them. Taken on the sunshine coast Qld. Image as is

Ta Carla I’ve got a book called ‘A field guide to australian fungi’ by Bruce Fuhrer.It’s great ..got introduced and evil ones that cause damage to your trees.Which is helpful in my work hgs
Yeah…this book I’m about to get (hopefully) is also by Fuhrer? called ‘RAINFOREST FUNGI OF TASMANIA AND S.E. AUSTRALIA’ ….looks really nice…..printed in 92 though? but…they DID still have good books waaaaaaaaay back then too. :o)

lol…i graduated from high school in 91………age is but a number….no worries. i won that darn book last night? and i THINK the seller doubled the shipping on me! it was set for less then the actual book price when i first saw it? and now it’s DOUBLE! no way i can fix that though…and i saw the same book on Amazon for 4x the price!
