Pseudechis porphyriacus red belly black snake.Considered dangerous but not very aggressive.I was lucky as It’s been a fairly mild winter.So there is still a few out and about.If it had been summer would have been harder to get as they’re not as sluggish.

    Thanks Jane I was as happy as a pig in **,when I got these I took 8 all up.I’ve got one more to upload, It’s a more sensible distance away.He got cheesed with me and Buggered off.

    they aren’t an agressive snake, I used to live in NSW on a property, and there was a black snake under an aloe vera bush I had I didn’t know he was there and I was standing right beside the bush , when I walked away he slithered out and made off !! after I picked myself up off the ground …... lol he had no intention of biting me! jane

    Yeah that’s true Jane,all our snakes are quick to get out of our way.People are only bitten through carelessness and hasseling them.The red belly is the least toxic of It’s species.

    Thanks Hilary they’re beautiful,they’re not an agro snake and will try to get away.But they are considered dangerous and you should seek treatment if bitten.
