Coloured Pencil on Cartridge Paper 2009
bird, kookaburra, australian, animal, native
Mother Nature is my muse, and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to capture her beauty on paper or canvas.
I like to experiment with media and subject matter, and am always creating, wherever I am.

lovely sweet painting:)
Thanks Robyn xx
what a lovely kookaburra we have a few of these come every day to our garden….
Thank you Linda. We have so many of them, as we live on a large property, and they make their lovely chuckling noises ever morning and evening. Between these, the magpies, parrots and cockatoos, its pretty noisy around home!!
Beautiful work Alex
Thank you very much Jenny xx
I really like your background on this …nice and colourful. Very interesting bird…I have never seen a kookaburra…but I think I once sang a song about them. :)
Thank you! Ah, yes, the Kookaburra song, I remember it well, surprised that you sang it over there though!! They are lovely birds, about the size of a crow, or a little smaller, and their song is like a musical laugh!
Thank you :)
You really need to think about a children’s book my friend!
I would really really love to, but I’m no writer! (Well, I guess it wouldn’t be fair to be good at everything LOL) My mum would be a great children’s writer (she was a kindergarten teacher for 32 years, and specialised in literacy programs) but I know she doesn’t have the time, as she works on the vineyard and is trying to write a book about her father, Max Ragless (a landscape artist)…..ah well, I’ll keep thinking about it!
Excellent kookie..so well done..you can manipulate these pencils to do your bidding ..and you do that so well.. this is really wonderful !
mwahahahaha…pencils do my bidding!! Lol, thank you very much Cathy that is quite the compliment!!!
