Kokeshi I
A collaboration!
KOKESHI SERIES
Watercolour pencil and wine on A5 watercolour paper 2009.
I had almost completed this , my first in my Kokeshi series and it was sitting on the table when Fergus (my irish Wolfhound) came gallumphing into the house tail swinging away merrily and knocked my glass of red wine all over it then onto the floor. So I call this a collaboration between him and myself.

This is precious—and with red wine all over it, it probably smells good too!

I was just going to comment that she reminded me of a Russian doll, when it occured to me, if it was a series, that Kokeshi probably wasn’t her name! (So I looked it up!) Lovely :)

Love it – love the sad, serious little face – like a child who is tired and sulky. Beautiful work.
