Tale of the two fortresses

Shrouded clouds, intrigue, coincidence
Two Fortresses hold keys to each others sense
Doors shut, windows bolted tight
Neither brave with what hides in plain sight.
To one attempted entry halted
Vast strong walls, completely vaulted
Suggestion planted but defaulted

Storms brew, momentum builds
All that’s man made must be spilled
Sweeping through those fortress walls
Catching dust before it falls
The finished story yet unclear
How will it end, well my dear
That all depends on one mans fear

Action required, choices, pain

Since both impenetrable remain.
Realms of choice, decision thought
Must common ground in vision be fought?
Allies or enemies recovered
Or each fortress to remain undiscovered

Will you forever remain mothered?
