Gin and Tonic

I am in love:
the embossed, criss-crossed kind;
a grinding, unwinding love reserved
for lovers.

A jubilee with confetti sort of love;
like I were at a seaside resort,
all comfort and frills
and undistilled thrills of vermillion
swirls. Love like a suspension bridge
undamaged or ravaged by a storm
in the port.

I am in love:
the cosmic, gin and tonic kind;
a gold mine, red wine love preserved
for lovers.

    The imagery is drinkable for any hour me thinks…
    I so love how you make words become a bridge to my mind, a sensory suspension that makes me stop an remember why I love words and how they bring me my secret colours…x
